A Short History
In 1994 the founders of the Bread of Life grieved for the many people in the local area going without enough food. There were various reasons: rising cost of rentals, unemployment, entire families struggling on low income, mothers trying to raise children alone, elderly on fixed incomes, handicapped, and many homeless living on the Verde River.
As a result, the mission started and continues from that compassion for the needs of those fallen on hard times.
How to Have Eternal Life
If you shall confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead, you shall be saved. Romans 10: 13
Jesus said. "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life, No man comes to the Father, but by me, John 14:6
·For God so loved the world that he gave his only son. that whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3: 16
You can have the everlasting life God offers by asking him to forgive your sins and come into your life. If this is your desire here is a simple prayer you could offer to the Lord:
"God I know I have sinned and I ask your forgiveness. I believe Jesus died for my sins. I know accept you into my life, Jesus. I receive you as my savior. Help me to follow you. I pray it in your name.
Your care of others is the measure of your greatness. " Luke 9:48b (Living Bible)
HOW WE OPERATE
We are funded by donations, fund raisers, and an occasional grant. We have an a1l volunteer staff with the exception of the director. From the inception a number of different churches, businesses, and volunteers have prepared and served a nutritious weekly hot meal, and distributed boxes of groceries. On Thanksgiving and Christmas we give out frozen turkeys and hams.
